I eventually leaned out the window and spotted him on the street below, telling him to turn left (he turned right) and find a woman with a clipboard by the secret entrance. I sat on the third floor of the Experimental Cocktail Club, enjoying a gin and waited for Mal, who eventually called in a panic, explaining that he couldn’t find the entrance (even though he had told me he’d been there before). I’m not a particularly punctual person, but I was on time that night.
